hello and welcome to the last grumps column of the week and another horrific story.
THE body of a baby boy has been found in a bin liner at a waste recycling plant, police said today.
The tot was discovered at about 10.50am yesterday at the Greenstar Recycling Plant in Mill Lane, Addlethorpe, Lincolnshire.
The body was wrapped in a black bin liner and found on a conveyor belt by a worker checking for glass among waste brought in to the site for recycling.
A statement released by Lincolnshire police said: "A search is now on to trace the mother of the baby, who police believe could be very poorly and in desperate need of medical attention."
The body of the newborn was wrapped in a heavily bloodstained cloth in the bin liner. There was also a distinctive pair of women's knickers in the bag.
Detectives believe the baby, who was white, died after a traumatic birth and they are working on the possibility that the mother could have come from anywhere in the country.
The baby was not still-born and a post-mortem examination is being held to discover how he died.
However, it is understood the infant suffered a number of injuries after death as a result of being put in the back of a dustcart.
A source close to the investigation said: "We need to talk to the baby's mother. She is potentially very, very ill.
"The way it looks is that there has been a traumatic birth and the baby has died shortly afterwards from the trauma of the birth. We need to find the mother because her life could be in danger.
"We are doing checks with hospitals and doctors' surgeries as well as with the NHS nationally because the mother could potentially come from anywhere."
A media briefing is being held at Skegness police station by Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Gibbon at 3pm.

yes the woman needs medical treatment but the police She may have given birth to a stillborn at home and panicked. Unfortunately, parents of cot death babies are still treated very badly by the police. This may have been a factor. They certainly need to know how the baby died.

Why are you assuming it was a woman that was responsible?
It could well be a terrified child!

This is such a sad story, to resort to this kind of thing, the mother must have been in a seriously bad place.
What is even more tragic is that if she received the right kind of care then the baby could have easily been adopted to people that would give it the care and love it deserved.

Women are bitchy and predictable ...men are not and that's the key to knowing the truth.
