Affectionately known as The Cawfee Shop. There's no better place to be than in your own coffee shop discussing "whatever" with friends.

I though it would be very interesting to talk about what we learn each day.

I learned today how to put concrete crack sealer on my driveway to cover in holes and cracks so I don't have to get the driveway re-concreted.

It looked easy enough.

As I did each crack or hole, I realized I had to go back and keep refilling them, over and over and over again. They were full when I started, but as a short time went by, the sealant then sunk right down to the bottom.

huh!

I could teach you something more about crack sealing so the sealer doesn't keep running away.

Next time if possible partially fill the void with fibre board or even old newspaper to stop the valuable sealer seeping away.
I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

I learned not to trust a cashier who has no idea what she is doing.

Took back an item for refund...

I asked her for my refund slip to my instant card....she said she had to keep it?

she never asked me to sign the paper to say why I was bringing it back?

she never did refund my money.

just found that out now as I went to my on-line banking!:-5:-5

she charged me for it!:-5

phoned the store, head cashier said she was brought over from another store and she doesn't know what's she doing. I said, then maybe she shouldn't be on cash!

now I have to go back there get the refund she just charged me for and the original refund.

I learned today that you don't have to click on File and New Tab to open up a new tab. All you have to do is double click on the top tab tool bar and it automatically opens up a new tab for you. (My daughter taught me that). :o

I also learned that when the dentist looks sheepish and says "You shouldn't get an infection" what he REALLY means is OF COURSE it will get infected! Expect LOTS of pain!

I ALSO learned that the doctors receptionist will REFUSE to give you an appointment to see the doctor if it's related to dental treatment. She will INSIST you return to the dentist, even when you're crying out in agony for painkillers! Miserable b*tch! She'd rather maul your ankles like a rabid dog than give you the dratted appointment! :-5

I learned Ibuprofen is not made from paracetamol. :D

When you're eating painkillers by the boxful, it's good to know you're allowed more ibuprofen on top of your paracetamol allowance. I'm still taking too many but I'm not as over the limit as I thought I was! :D

Yes, and I was required to have my old professor write a note to my principal, that I was doing research for the Native Americans and not myself! A note!

But, it will be cool if I find what they need tomorrow, then when what the stuff is for is over, I will post on it. It will be more than cool.

After my friend died, I learned not to take life for granted , that every moment is special, even the bad ones because our lives here on earth are only for a limited period of time, and when we have free time, we should try to spend it with loved ones, because you never know if you or them will have another tommorrow.

So, when we're thinking about doing something, like make a call, visit a friend, send a letter, wish someone Happy Birthday, we've got to do it now.
Happiness is not a destiny. It is a daily goal. :)
