Sad isn't it. I must say the San Diego Zoo gets it when it comes to proper enclosures. They now have a wonderful "Polar Bear" Plunge which is a fantastic large area for the Polar Bears you can just tell they are happy now.
I could not agree more. On of our smaller zoos had a pitifully small polar bear enclosure and the two bears paced frantically. After observing them for some time I came to the conclusion they were both mentally scarred. I could sense they were completely bonkers. It was sad not to mention infuriatingly cruel.
Nice picture Spot that is the area I was talking about. We don't get to see it with the 2 cameras they have mounted. But on day for about a minute they had it on that area and I realized the size of the island and the fun stuff they have to do.

Here's Jock a little later, below the same climbing frame. The buildings in the background are Clifton College, I think the schoolchildren get quite a view into the zoo from some of their windows.

they went their separate ways and are just walking around.

just looked like 4 friends deciding to go out.........:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I told some of my friends in school about our 'gorilla gang' watching our lovely gorillas. They were so enthralled with the gorilla site and couldn't believe that they could see mom and son cuddling in the wood wool bed.

They laughed as they were watching our big guy waiting for food. It was hilarious to see poor Jock moving from door to door waiting for food to arrive:wah:

Julie, I have more fans watching our gorilla friends:-4 I'm so happy that we can watch it in school now during the day.

so now they are watching them, I think what happened is they were more interested because you showed them how and you stayed and enjoyed it with them.

- Sometimes I had found that when my own boys were growing up, they wanted mom there with them, and then they took the interest, because I did and it makes it more fun.

I could be wrong, but I just think they enjoyed doing it with you.:-4
