These days I'm also the last to hear any goss - and mostly can't join up the dots when I do anyway. Good way to be, probably. Or is is just 'To the pure all things are pure"???? :sneaky:

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

But I do remember the thrill, yes thrill is the word, of being slowly accepted in all my crazy spirality. People actually asked if they could add me to their friend list and stuff like that. Each time, I danced a little jig of pure joy. Really. I was a total innocent.

It took me at least a month to realise that if I was one person's friend, I could not be someone else's or vice versa. Pity that. Because I was new and just wanted to take everyone as I found them, without having to read the screeds of pmails which were sent to me explaining who had done what to whom, who was being intimate with whom, and all that jazz. (Some of it very interesting).

FG at that time must have been a veritable Peyton Place.

Are we still like this???? Are we all having steamy cyber sex with each other??? Not me.. that was so 1980s!! Grin.

From my dim perception of some of the undercurrents, I understand there is still some behind the scenes scurrying etc... but I'm too blonde to get most of it - which is just as well probably because I'm a peaceable person mostly.

And yeah, still really a kid. (Though MJ sort of gave not growing up a bad name, may he rest in peace).

Peyton Place, vaguely remember that piece of gossip!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I'm always the last to find out the scoop, sometimes never, but that's okay, hate nasty gossipers!:sneaky::lips:

behind the scenes, picking and choosing sides, just not my style.

cyber sex? never!:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

Didn't you ever do the cyber sex thing, Odie????

It was all part of the rich tapestry of delayed-adolescent human life... guffaw.. Still, one moves on, so to speak.

Peyton Place - TV series 1964-1969

"Peyton Place" (1964)

From reading about it, I gather it was an ancestor of the current soaps. You know, in a single episode you got teenage pregnancy, adultery, incest, rape, suicide, molestation, flashing, true love, divorce, war and pestilence, gossip, conspiracy, lurking, dirty dancing, illness, drugs, booze, fun, rock and roll, er sex and not necessarily in that order.

Fair enough - and because it's unAustralian and generally non-true-blue to roll around in helpless mirth when others confess their afflictions, I'll just toss another shrimp on the barbie of life, and she'll be apples, sport!
