***Breading:***

1/2 cup corn or wheat flour

1/2 cup cornmeal

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:Beat eggs, add flour, milk, garlic powder, hot sauce and salt. Mix well. In another pan mix together flour, cornmeal, salt, red pepper and onion powder. Fresh caught frog legs, deep fat fried, french fried 'taters, corn bread, real butter washed down by pitchers of ice cold Drewey's beer. Gotta substitute on the beer. No longer make Drewey's. Ahh, memories.

I think served with pickled Pig Ears and Carrots would be a perfect combination:

INSTRUCTIONS

- Shave the pig’s ears carefully, wash them and boil them with a little salt for 20 minutes. When they are cooked, put them in cold water for a couple minutes.- Remove the pig’s ears off the cold water, dry them with a tea towel and let them cool down completely.

- Peel the carrots and cut them into ½ cm thick slices.

- Mix vinegar, sugar and salt in a saucepan, bring it to a boil, stir lightly until the sugar and salt mix well to the vinegar. It should have the sweet and sour taste. Move the saucepan off the cooker and let it cool down completely.- Arrange the pig’s ears and sliced carrots a clean, dry jar, add the vinegar mixture. The vinegar mixture must cover the pig’s ears and the sliced carrots

. Keep the pickled pigs ears and carrots submerge by attaching wooden sticks across inside the jar. Close the jar tight and store it in a dry place for 5 days.- After 5 days, the pickled pigs ears and carrots are ready to eat. Slice the pickled pig’s ears and dip them into soy sauce.

I won't eat frogs legs because of the extreme cruelty involved in this trade. Most frogs eaten in france come from outside france, by the way.

The more cruelty inflicted on frogs in their capture and in their slaughtering, the tastier their legs become. Perhaps a more humane thing would be to amputate their limbs and then have them fitted for a prosthesis.

So if you were cruelly tortured, Lon, would your legs become more tasty?

Would you like to be fitted for a prosthesis whilst feeding Hannibal Lector a tasty lunch with his glass of chianti with a fava bean garnish?

This is an unspeakably cruel and arrogant point of view.

(And don't tell me this is a joke because this is way beyond anything even remotely amusing!)

What I find really amusing is some peoples concern over man's inhumanity to frogs. You gotta be kidding me, right? Incredible!! Do you feel the same way about lizards, worms, beetles, crickets, house flies and termites? Where do you draw the line, or do you? Is it all creatures or just certain ones?
