Why is it?.......

I sat down tonight to eat my dinner infront of the tv and learnt that if you stab a dead whale after it's been dead for a few days, it will explode sending guts and gore a mile into the outer hemasphere. I can cope with that but why is it that just as i sit down to eat my meal, a barrage of tv adverts come on for:

Sanitary towels

Tampax

Penis erectile problems

Remedies for fungal toe nails

Remedies for flaking skin

Remedies for hard cracked skin

Children having a poo

etc etc

Maybe it's telling you that you should sit at the table and have a conversation rather than watch telly and eat like a zombie. :-3:D

Excuse me Mrs but we do sit at our table for all our meals thankyou very much :wah:

I haven't watched much telly until recently, I didn't half laugh at the anti-chafing adverts - whatever next! :yh_rotfl

We are usually similar Bryn as it was the way we were both raised but the Whale's autopsy co-incided with my timing on the meal and Mr O was keen to see the prog.

Here we get TV ads for realism shows that show people eating really disgusting things----right when I'm eating. However, I don't really appreciate seeing that any time of the day. :yh_frustr

What puzzles me, is why do the manufacturers think you will want to buy it after seeing some-one's flaking skin as your eating flaky pastry or eating a sausage while there is a man discussing his erection problems?

I'm ok with folk cutting their fingers off using an electric applience but when it comes to pus, snot, dirty feet etc, i have to be sick.

I'm ok with surgery and i was even fine with the exploding whale on tv but watching some spotty 15 yr old smear cream all over his spots just makes me feel ill.

I hate to tell ya, but if you stab a human dead body that has been out in the sun for a few days it will do the same thing, although not sending guts and gore quite as far as the whale.

True..... I saw a prog on Sky once about undertakers. They went into this bedroom and the poor guy had been dead for some days on the bed. His stomach was horribly swollen and he exploded right all over the undertakers. Made a hell of a mess of the duvet.
