What do you do on summer days and nights?

Post by Odie »

I am really busy everyday all summer with tons of gardening, weeding, wateriness lawns and gardens.

Taking out old plants, splitting up some and putting them elsewhere.

Shaving down bushes, cutting down branches etc.

I have 3 bird feeders that get filled 2x a day........sunflower feeder, finch and suet feeder.

I belong to a group of people who live in my area, we meet up for coffee, lunch, and we also go out to nice night clubs.....awesome bunch of folks.

I go to my garden centre on a weekly basis, and tons of other places.

tis nice to have summer again....

At night, if I am at home, I sit on the front deck, with solar lights amongst the gardens and tree, so calm and peaceful.:D

I write, maybe clean the house, then write some more. I do not get to write all day long during the school year, sometimes not at all during the busy days. That is very hard on me.:-1

I play my piano and flute and violin as much as I want to. I am taking advanced flute lessons starting tomorrow-ah, the luxuries I can afford not having to pay the nurse! :)

I weed my garden some days, take a walk everyday-maybe two. And sleep in an extra hour. :-6

I'm taking my husband to the beach next week for 5 days! And in July 5 days back home. My younger brother is even flying out to see me, I haven't seen him in 4 years or more.

I ride around town on my scooter, hang out near the bike and jogging trail and watch the ladies bounce past, eat, drink, sleep. I'm a very busy man.:D

I used to write, feed the birds at a leisurely pace, write some more, garden at a leisurely pace, go antique hunting, read a little, write some more, have a cup of herbal tea, watch a foreign film from Netflix, listen to music, try a new recipe. . . now I can't seem to get out of this chair, ever since I checked out the Garden again. I just opened the 50 lb. sack of birdseed & let the hose slow-drip for them. My garden is overgrown with some unknown substance, I weed-whacked my dripper hose in half, trying to rush and get back in to this %%$#& computer. My circulation is getting worse due to the cramped position I find myself in after about an hour so I pulled the camel saddle over to prop myself up. I'm going to bring the microwave in here too and run a hose from the water tap . . .

I never said I wasn't in pain doing all my stuff either, I have a bad back, bad knees, the list goes one........but its things I have to do.

weeds..........I despise them.......my back omg.

I used the weed-wacker last week and took off my peony plant!:-5:-5

I also use large bags of birdseed, I cut off the top and use a huge bowl to fill up the feeders..

life is not easy hun.:-4

Oh, Odie, sweetie, here I am complaining (well, sort of) about my laziness and this newly acquired addiction to FG, while you have some real problems. Bad back, bad knees. Here, let me make some herbal tea for you. Have a chocolate biscotti.

Odie-that sounds soooooooo perfect! You have a blessed life. I'm not sure if life gets any better than that. You have inspired me to do more in my yard already ;) Thank you for sharing with me. Very insightful to your character. Usually I walk through my neighborhood in the evening or I go for a swim in the pool. Occasionally a few friend and I will go to dinner. I also try to make it to Lake Benson once a week to walk the trails there-so peaceful and beautiful.

far from blessed my dear, its just what I do and love my gardens in the summer, but the last few days its just been soooooooooo hot!

Weeds........what I do --is do them daily whenever I see one, its gone, that way there is no huge mess for me to dig.

I love to walk through the neigbourhood at night, its nice to see other houses and people.

Trails, oh that does sound so peaceful, enjoy!
