My goodness, I started to reply to two (very recent) unfortunate posts (adding helpful explanations), and decided not to, on the grounds of taste and seemliness. Must be 'cos I've had a drop of cider, rather than lager. Whatever next!

The first thing has been dealt with via "PM", a compromise. The second is now irrelevant, as it's being "done to death" in the most vile way. Talk about not offending people's sensibilities. Stamping up and down in jackboots on people who may be having a rough time, more like. There's a big fat line between... but I digress, & the bell's gone on the cvooker, whiuch means I mus t "do something". Back soon.

I'll bet neither of you could post anything from the heart and get banned. It just ain't in ya. I've stomped around here pretty hard at times & never even got a warning. I think history and tendencies count for alot here.

I've held off posting several times, but not to keep the peace. It was mostly because I felt it would be a waste of time trying to disagree with the poster. There've also been a time or twelve that I typed out an eloquent and measured response worthy of a Pulitzer, then forgot to hit submit before leaving. :-5

There was one time that I'm still torn as to what I should have done. A friend brought an intensely personal story into a very hot debate. After some wrestling, I decided to respond as directly as the issued deserved, while trying to keep it as gentle as I could. The other Gardener decided my response was too offensive to tolerate, and ended our friendship. Maybe I should not have hit "submit" that time, but that would have been disrespectful, too.

sometimes there is no right or wrong thing to do ,,,, you just do what you do

now you know how that person responded to your post and that they could not get past a personal view of yours. If you hadnt replied you would maybe still now be wondering,,, or that person may have taken offense that you didnt feel the need to comment? who knows:rolleyes:

I myself respect and admire honesty even if its not to my viewpoint:)
