Surely the people would have more respect if Brown said he was getting rid of these people instead of defending them and then them "stepping" down.Have you seen the polls regarding Ministers....Thursday will be interesting thats for sure.

The lot of them make me sick. They have all been exposed with exploiting expenses with the exception of his Lovliness. They have hung on and on hoping for an election to get re-voted into their constituancy's until GB talks of sackings..... then they resign. They should have gone months ago when the public called for them to be booted out.

She had to be the worst Foriegn Minister we have ever had for reasons i'm too tired to go into right now. It matters not who the replacemnet is as i believe the Tory's will win by a landslide.

Pre election run-ups always get dirty with smear tactics and some-one would have shopped them. The Mail is exposing the Lib Dem and UKIP MP's who have abused expenses this week. Funny enough, i saw a report that they could not find one single BNP member to dis-credit. Even Cameron himself is having to pay back expenses to save face. They are all as bad as each other.

They are all as bad as each other.Now that I totally agree with as did the people who did the poll I saw on the news....no trust left for many of us.Sure you will get the ones who still do trust them and thats upto them of course but what is the answer as ive heard stories about my Council that leaves a very bad taste in my mouth regarding certain people who "take libertys".....where theres power theres danger of so much that can happen and money is the route of all evil so they say.

Yes. I cannot see why wrongdoers should not simply be sacked.

The problem with "all this so-called resigning" is that it allows these people to retain benefits that they should, according to popular and likely correct opinion, lose instantly.

There is total corruption in the government, and a hellovalot of corruption in local government too. You can't change a leopard's spots, so when the heat has died down these con-men/women will find another way to swindle the honest people of Britain, with some other crafty weeze. They have been dishonest, so nothing less than taking all the guilty ones to court and administering justice (that'll be a laugh), would even go part way to pacifying the British working man. There is a great deal of unrest in the UK and the powers that be should take heed.

Very well said Gill. The elections will show just how many folk are lodging protest votes and joining fringe parties. I saw the BNP recruitment figures and they are processing up to 200 new memberships a week. UKIP are also seeing a rise in new memberships. I predict Labour and the Tory's will get a pounding in the elections.
