Ok I think I started something when I posted pics of Western Canada in a newbies thread so I thought maybe we should start a thread where we can boast up our homelands. Lets post pictures of where we all come from. I would love to see everybodys countries from all sides.
I am and always have been very proud to be Canadian, and feel very blessed to have some of the coolest scenery around me.
Calgary is located in the province of Alberta. We are the second most western province of Canada, only British Colulmbia is further west.
We have prairies, mountains and badlands.
Here are a few cool pics of Sothern Alberta.

oooo fabo you guys more more... I too love pics of everywhere
Here are a few more of where I live
1) head smashed in Buffalo jump (for those who don't have a queasy stomach here is the run down and importance of this cliff, the Blackfeet Indians used to round up the buffalo for a Kill and would herd the beasts over the cliff and at the bottom the women and children carved up the dead beasts and prepared all parts of the animal for their use, bones for tools, skins for clothing and blankets and meat for food, guts for pouches etc. It is said everything of the buffalo was used except for the skull. The natives almost drove the beasts to extinction but thanks to government intervention and preservation here in Alberta we were able to keep them in a safe area and bring them back from the brink. We now again boast wild buffalo.)
2) some of the last standing grain elevators... grain is stored in these until the trains come along and transport the grain across the country. Very few are left in this province.
3) Drumheller / The badlands/ hoodoos, this area is where a great many dinosaur bones have been discovered.
4) the Bar U Ranch, the oldest operating ranch in Alberta. It is a historic site as well and is beautiful
Side note for Boops you may find an original cowboy or 2 here hehehehehe

Oh Minks:-4
Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, I've only been to Canada a few times. I loved toronto, Montreal and Quebec.
I'd love to take the train across Canada and visit places. Maybe when I retire. Geeze, it only takes me 11 hours to drive to Toronto, but when I have time off I want to be in sunny Florida.
I've always wanted to visit the badlands of South Dakota. I honestly didn't know that Canada had badlands. I'd love to see them sometime. Pictures of Badlands and Theodore Roosevelt National Park - US National Parks photos - fine art prints and stock photography
I'll be back this weekend to post some pics of my lovely state of Noo Joisey and some other sites:-6

You know the terrain of the USA just does not stop at the border some of it extends up to Canada :-4
Our badlands include the town of Drumheller and Nacmine and the Horseshoe Canyon in the order I posted them here. Nacmine used to be a popular end place for many a bike run's from Calgary.

I thought we'd keep Canada's provinces together.
As Minks just said, I have always been proud to be Canadian!
As you know I live in Toronto, which is Ontario's largest city and Capital!
Toronto has a population of 5.5 million.
Although its a concrete city, there are still tons of huge parks, that range from being completely in the bush as Algonquin Park, where you see tons of moose, wolves, bear and other wild animals, to just small parks, and ones that feature historic features such as wooden bridges to cross.
We have thousands of gigantic Flower gardens to stroll through!
Toronto's CN Tower, largest standing free structure in the world.
