Something else that it seems not many people have noticed is the way that the Statutorial Instruments have disappeared from the shelves of the Reference section in our public libraries. This has occurred only since Labour has been in power. You only have the likes of Stones Manuals to refer to now. If anyone can find the SI's in the reference section of their public libraries, let me know. They're not difficult to miss, they are large, thick and red-bound volumes.

Seems to me that '1984' was merely delayed a decade and a half.

Thanks for pointing this out! There has been an insiduous, creeping, underhand control of our society for the past 11 years, and this is but one example.

No problem, Vesuvius.

For those of you that don't know what the Statutorial Instruments are, I shall enlighten you.

The Statutorial Instruments are the laws of the UK that are enacted, repealed, and amended by Pariament. They are otherwise referred to as the Acts of Parliament.

I used to refer to them quite a lot when I was a younger man.
