So glad to give them back....

Post by Oscar Namechange »

The wonderful thing about other families children, is giving them back.

For two whole days, i have had

One 6 week old

One 16 week old

One 19 month old

One 4 year old

One 9 yr old

One gobby 12 year old

After two days , i have just returned after driving the whole lot home and handing them back to their mother. I have to say, i have never been so tired in all my life and so relieved when i turned into their road after the long journey with my eye-lids propped open with match sticks.

Roll on Tuesday when they all come back again for 4 days.:o:o:o

To be fair, the gobby 12 yr old is very good with the babies and i have Mr O who told me that last night was the worst nights sleep he has ever had in his life :wah:

My sis is having a really hard time at the moment so they all came to me. They are all back tuesday as well. I think i will just go to sleep until then :wah:

You get to my age and just forget how tough it is. How Sis copes and how she keeps her house so clean is beyond me. My 3 dogs hate me now as i've had them shut in the yard. The cats are terrified and refusing to come in the house :yh_rotfl

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I am the oldest of six siblings. As a teen-ager, I babysat for other families. Then, as a young woman, I worked as a teachers-aide and in the child care profession. I got married and raised my own children. Now, I'm a grandma, but my grandchildren live in North Dakota........and I live in Georgia. So that's that.

The last several years of my life, I have not been around young children much. I do miss the experience to a certain extent. I know it can get crazy at times, but there is nothing like holding a little hand, hearing that mischevous laughter, using a"magic" kiss on a small injury, singing silly songs...all that. I do admit that I don't have the energy that I used to have..........but still. Sometimes, I just miss the presence of small children in my life.
