I hate to disagree with a mate, :-4 but GB is dead in the water  and I know how much you like him, and basically he may well be an honest man, but he has done so much harm to the country, his fiscal policies were/are extortionate to the working people, and pensioners, he sold our gold, he ran down the NHS, he has helped to create a scenario where he let the bankers roam free and has left debt which ouor great grandchildren will be paying off, and allowed intense corruption into the Government.
To add to this he placed the worst females in history in postions of power, Jackboots Jackie, Blears, Harperson and Beckett is no better.
I am no Tory fan, but roll on the final trumpets of Nu Labour, bury them, NOW.

I am no Tory fan, but roll on the final trumpets of Nu Labour, bury them, NOW. Since you've been away, i have signed my alliegence to another Party :wah:
I was Labour all my working life but the past year i have been floundering as to who to join.
I absolutely loathe Tony Blair with a passion along with nooooooo Labour and all that goes with it. When GB took over, i did believe he was a different animal all together and i do give him credit on some issue's to the point that i was seriously considering re-signing to Labour. However, the latest sleaze over MP's expenses was the final nail in the coffin for me. I absolutely agree with you over the worst female choices for Cabinet in history. If GB had the bottle to shoot the lot of them, he would gain some respect from me but i fear he hasn't. No, sadly, it is over and there is no doubt Cameron will be in by a landslide.

Oh goody, another mate who loated Blair as much as I do :sneaky:
Actually I am very sad for you Oscar, because having alliegence to Labour all your life it must be a huge disapointment to you and I can empathise with that.
A basically honest man GB may be but he has no bottle. He should sack most of his Cabinet, and show some real strength, then the country would be behind him. He will not do this. Labour always seem to back their own, often to the edge of the precipice, and against all public feeling. It is one of their faults, perhaps the main one.
A leader has to see who is dragging him down. Jackboot Jackie should have gone a month back. Any real leader would have hung her out to dry by now.
