Great Desert----Pavlova

I never heard of this desert before going to New Zealand and Australia where this is a very popular desert.

I'm more familiar with the Sahara and Gobi deserts.

Pavlova is a meringue dessert named after the Russian ballet dancer Ánna Pávlova, alledgedly because it's fluffy white circular appearance was reminiscent of her tulle skirts as she danced.

And, of course, to honour her.

I steer away from a spotted dick.

I do like a baked alaska though. It's greta to make it infront of small children and see the look of horror as you put ice cream into a hot oven.

I've just munched key Lime Pie.... :-4

Would everyone agree that Greek desserts such as baklava suck ?

The Greeks havent done anything really well for over a thousand years.

Hear hear----------I don't care for Greek deserts and I am particulary not fond of Tibetan Snow Pea Ice Cream.
