I've just watched a piece on CNN about storm chasers who filmed 'katrina'....they were lucky to get away with their lives as the water surged higher and higher into their hotel. They ended up on the 4th floor, still with water lapping at their feet.The pictures were awesome. I used to be scared of storms as a child. I guess as you get older you get more appreciative of nature.

My kids are all grown up now....37,36 and 33. I have 5 grandchildren ....15, 14, 13, 9.and 8 ....another due in October. When you have kids, you can't show fear or you transmit it to them. I used to leave the room if a large spider appeared....now I just collect them up in a jam jar and put them outside.

Just got back from an interview. It was supposed to be a sales position for a home builder, but they sell mobile homes (trailers) and modular homes. These guys are like used car dealers; hold the customer in complete contempt. I had to shower when I got home. :yh_wave

I feel a "cake" story coming on. Yesterday was our 100 year anniversary so local restraunt decides to construct one big ### cake. They decide to put 25,000 candles on it. Celebrate then eat cake. Ahahahahaha no joke the darn cake caught on fire then the restraunt did, Fire department suggested they try that cool cake trick outside next time. No one was hurt, and NO ONE got cake.
