If the bride is wearing red... LOL
About anything Michael Bolton sings makes me cringe, even if it was a song I loved by the original artist who recorded it. Sounds like he's in terrible pain no matter what the mood of the song The 80's song "Hey Mikey" it probably my all time most hated song, soon as I hear that introductory clapping, I change the channel. I also really get offended by Old Navy using old TV show tunes to make their commericals, like the one from the Brady Bunch. I actually emailed them to tell them I was boycotting them till that commercial was off the air. They answered too. They said it appealed to a wide audience, but I wondered who it would be since everyone I knew agreed with me.
>>^..^ ummm.. yup, pretty well.. in a nutshell ~ thats it.
Hello Dolly, well Hello Dolly
don't cry for me argentina....i LOVE that. i could do a thread on eva peron, the eva braun of argentina. i love her story.
>>^..^ What did you think of Madonna as Evita?
i already know you hated her as evita...but the fact is she did a great job, really got into the role. i am no madonna fan, but i loved the movie. and of course there was banderas. the lyrics are brilliant if you know the facts, and she was so convincing in the role there were protests in buenos aires. historically it is a fascinating story and the musical was fairly true to life. eva peron was a stone nazi but she was the princess di of her day.

Now I never said I hated Madona as Evita... I said I hated that movie, it was snoreville... and I was praying for it to end.
I think Madonna is a great singer and would like to see her do Evita on stage live in a theatre production...
>>^..^ What are the worst songs for you? ~ I have a few... like....
Lady in Red ~ Chris de Burgh
Funky Town ~ Pseudo Echos
The Pina Colada Song ~ Rupert Holmes
(Mind you, I like all of these better than Rap)
ALL songs by eminem Bleck somebody please please shoot him. They all sound the same and they are all just trashy talk set to some kind of vaguely familiar tune from his previous song.

Have to admit that Brittney Spears turns my stomach. Find it interesting that her song lyrics include "hit me baby one more time" and "ow ow ow ow ow". Makes me feel a little better about it.
I'm with you on the Feliz Navidad thing and all other Christmas carols even if they are revamped by modern artists. :yh_sick

Rap also makes me ill. It makes me feel terrible for todays youth.
My idols years ago were Emerson Lake and Palmer, Curved Air, Jethro tull
I had an excellent backgroud in Classical music. I wanted to be a ballet dancer.
These artists were brilliant to me because they were combing classical int o a
formula that introdued our generation to good music, and yet not dull.
I realllllllllllllllllllly hate RAP MUSIC...IT JUST ABOUT PUTS ME OVER THE EDGE, MAKES ME WANT TO HURT SOMEONE.. :-5
Most Country Western music strikes me the same way, just can't deal with the endless TWANG, TWANG, TWANG, my sister shot her husbsand YADA, YADA, YADA... :guitarist

The Locomotion...ughh....I hate that one. The only time I really hear it...is at a weddings...and that just means it is time to get up and gyrate with strangers while they wrap their hands around your waist! Terrible!!
An old song named Muskrat Love makes me physically ill if I hear it. And that stupid "I'm Too Sexy" song is nauseating as well.
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas millionaires, or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." I played and sang a really jazzy version of Muskrat Love on guitar for the ceremony (Even you might have liked this one). It was the only music in the wedding. We Californians are pretty eccentric.
Vindaloo got up my nose, the second biggest selling single of 1998 by Fat Les. The closely related phenomenon of Fat Les Polyphonic Ringtones comes close.
Loreena McKennit and her utterly interminable version of - I was going to say the Unquiet Grave, but let's be honest - anything at all. She could sing Bob Dylan's Top Ten Protest Songs and I'd still puke. And that darned clone of hers, Enya, whoever she is.
That slug Caruso, too. What fool told him he could sing? Nobody with vibrato should be let loose in a recording studio.
Anyone French who thinks he knows one end of a synthesizer from another, the pseud ponces. Stand up Jean Michell Jarre, this is your cue.
