We have our Cardinal back and all he does is bang his head into our window and fills it with blood. They are wacky birds. We've stopped his head banging a bit by soaping up the windows, but he keeps looking for a lower spot....oy vey:-1

They are so territorial..... Do you like birds? I'll have to post some pics of our courtyard in school as another teacher loves birds and has her kidlets studying them...;)

Hi Odie,

Here are some pics of our school courtyard. It's called "Bear-A-Dise."

Unfortunately, the courtyard is still in "Winter mode." and looks awful. But come Spring it will look beautiful with lovely trees and plants blooming.

Here's what it looks like now, and I'll post pics in Spring when it looks lovely.

Here's where we can sit outside on a lovely Spring/summer day and read books. We have a little area there for our poor cardinal who bangs his head against our windows. We soaped up the window and he leaves it alone now.

Here's pics of our coy fish pond. We have at least 25 coys there and a turtle.

The other pic is of a square foot garden that I built. The kidlets and I planted all sorts of salad stuff there and would eat it in our club after school. We planted romaine lettuce, peppers, corn and tommos.

Here's our fish pond....

Here's our wee garden...

Here's a bulletin board that my coworker has put up for her small class and mine to observe the birds in our courtyard. They're in the process of putting up some drawings and writing info about the birds that they observe.

I have a Robin that visits my garden several times a day. He loves grated cheese and I put out bird food that Robins like. He comes all through the winter but not so much in the summer. I also get Blue tits and Gold finches which is surprising as I live near the sea and the gardens round here haven't got a lot of trees and bushes. Love my wild birds and do everything to encourage them. :-6

No! My son is only 13 yrs.:wah:. I keep telling Laura about him as he is really a cutie pie and he always puts my cans back to the side of the house. I'm the only person he does it for on our street. Of course it helped over Christmas as I tipped all the guys $20 & made them cookies.
