Hmmm...This?

Tom Tom the pipers son

Stole a pig and away he ran,

The pig was eat and Tom was beat

And Tom went roaring down the street.

Origins of a Scottish nursery rhyme?

The words and lyrics of this nursery rhyme were not based on a person in Scottish history (pipers son). The term 'piper's son' could allude to any piper in the British army and the origins of this tale probably date back to the 18th century It is a children's nonsense rhyme which has an obvious moral. The imagery used in the phrase 'went roaring down the street' is very strong and would indicate to a child that Tom's punishment was severe!

So true. Not sure I am ready for that quite yet. I have my little dog who knows when I say Get off my Bed, he does and doesn't argue back. He also doesn't complain about eating the same kibble day after day either. :yh_rotfl

Perfect! What more do you need? Someone who loves you unconditionally, does as he's told and doesn't answer back! :-4 :wah:

Teach him to change lightbulbs and take the trash out and you've got it made. ;) :wah: :wah:

Yup, the pup doesn't shave and leave a mess, smoke or drink..swear...or holler from the other side of the house, Hun, what is this? I always hated that one. Like I knew what he was looking at. He does shed but that is a small price to pay.

He isn't good at ladders but would eat some of the trash. ewwwww. I think I will do the trash.
