Oh boy, used to work with Jerry West! I can remember as a young teenager, at LAX, sliding down the long hallways there (my dad used to work there at night for a second job as a janitor) and my sister and I went whooshing by Jerry West, and because we were in our stocking feet we couldn't stop fast enough. My father said it served us right for going past a big star like him, and not getting his autograph.
Lakers rule! #1 lesson my students will learn on Monday when they enter my classroom-there are 3 flags there. The U.S., the state of Maryland, and right below them, my Laker flag! Ha!

Okay, now that you're just you (although "just" just doesn't do you justice) what did you sell and how much did you get?

Congrats. Was it a bidding war? I like bidding wars, but I've never watched one on Ebay.

I had my very first foray onto e-bay the other night and bid £115.99 as my maximum bid,
unfortunately it appeared as £11000.99 i'd forgot to use the decimal point!
I had 5 minutes of nail chewing i can tell you, i won the item for £166 (could have been worse) :-5
No more e-bay for me

I tried buying some surround speakers a few weeks ago. The seller had a bunch of them for a fair price and one pair way way low, probably to get people buzzing. I waited until the last few seconds to out bid the highest bidder and literally 10 seconds before it ended he upped me. I like e-bay, never had a problem buying or selling.

Gosh snooze control I sure hope I didn't insult you, hurt your feeling or **** you off about that avatar being your ear. But truefully I thought you were putting me on. I won't comment about your avatar any more ,I promise. I've got one enemy on here from Texas I certainly don't need anymore. Maybe I should just lurk.

Being of overlarge ego, I checked to see if you were talking about me by looking at your past posts. I see that we had a heated conversation about a subject very sensitive for me. If I made you feel unwelcome, I apologize. I never had that intent. Please don't consider me an enemy. :yh_flower
