Man Wants Donated Kindney Returned to Him

Post by Kindle »

Would you believe this!

Law.com - Surgeon Sues Estranged Wife for Return of Kidney

I understand he is doing this to bring attention to his custody plight, but it brings up questions about people who do give a part of themselves to another.

1) Would you donate an organ to another person?

2) What bases would you use to determine if you would give someone an organ?

3) How would you go about saying no if you did not want to do this?

Yes I would and I am listed as a donor on my drivers license.

Especially if it were a family member and I am healthy enough.

I don't know if I would say no, unless they told me I wasn't an exact match...then I would tell them why I won't do it.

I would donate but not to prisoners, alcoholics, drug addicts, but would to family, people who are raising families, etc.

3) How would you go about saying no if you did not want to do this?I would just say no.

Sorry I don't think there is a chance he will get it back. As Kathy Ellen said he gave it as a gift of life and not very nice to take a gift back.
