Not fat, not lonely not old and I don't hate any black people, grew up and live in a city that is one of the big melting pots of the USA so its rather hard to be discrimatory to people you have known and been around your whole life knowing them as neighbors, friends, teachers etal.

But you're right I am a racist when it comes to ignorant twits like you. Crawl back into the hole you came out of and go whine by someone that cares.. go whine you do that best. Oh, don't forget to watch your back.. some big nasty old gun might creep up on you and decide to shoot itself and get you... they do that you know, just like the boogeyman .... BOO !
Oh please don't shoot me Xena! Plleeaassee???????? I work 55 hours a week. At work now. I hate guns. God loves you.

I neither love or hate either of you. I don't know Xxena well, but she and I think very much alike. You and I have gotten into some heated debates about many things, and don't think much alike. I find you usually challenging, occasionally a dufus, and generally entertaining. The jury is still out on Xxena, but I have a pretty good idea which way it will sway.

Did that answer your question at all???

Well well well...It's become obvious to me from these past few posts and a few PM's between myself and Micah/David813, that his sole purpose in life here at the Garden is to stir people up. For the first time in many months I will be using my ignore function. It's a shame, really, because I have no problem debating and even heatedly arguing lots of topics. But when it becomes apparent that the only reason a person is involved in an issue is to gain reactions, it's not worth it. I debate things because I believe in them. Not to p!ss people off.

To whoever told Micah/David in private that they thought Xxena was Bullet, you're mistaken, and your private conversations with him (Micah/David) weren't as private as you thought.

You ,Dear Micah are so far off base its not funny.. its pathetic and it has NOTHING to do with violence.. quite the contrary, but until you mature enough to undersand what I'm saying you'll smash it and bash it like all the phobics do...

Instead learn from it and how to grow as a person and then you'll find you not only like other people, but they like you and YOU like YOU.

You Greeks always have the most interesting names when translated into the English language... HOW do you pronounce that ? Most of the kids I grew up with in Chicago already had their names shortened by their grandparents... can't think of one that had it in the original form.

If you don't like firearms what are you doing on a gun topic ??? that's a tad odd isn't it ? I highly doubt any of the gunowners here are into fighting with people, but when you're attacked by "others" who haven't got a clue.. its gets a tad old after awhile... que sara sara...

And Hilter was the voice of reason huh ... most of you don't know the half of what happend over there at that time... I have to admit I didn't either until I sat and talked to my in-laws at one point and knowing they were strict Polish Catholics was a tad shocked to find out they were taken focefully from their familes as teens and used for slave labor in some of the most notorious death camps we've all heard about.. was a real eye opener into what the people that preached peace and equality through socialism really and truly meant and believed in their preverted way.

Its time this country moves out of the political ideology realm and gets back to the realities of REAL life and sees it all for what it is, that is known as moderation.. hence the moderates which you do find in BOTH parities and is usually a pretty good mix of both conservatitive and liberal to make a balance of common sense. Extremens on either end always end up screwing over everyone . Extremes by the nature of what they are .. never work.. hence the word extreme.

Was not responding to him, but his comment at the Troll's squewered POV...

I think he knows I didn't mean him but if not..

my apolgies.. most whole heartedly... Otherwise my comment to Micah Troll and his alligence to the communist and socialists still stands as posted. Maybe comrade Micah needs to walk in the shoes of those before him and get a real taste of what it is about in reality vs. his fantasy to appreciate the gravity of what he is vomiting all over this place.

I really could give a flying fark if he likes guns or not... that's his right.. but he does NOT have the right to demonize others he does not know anything about and equate them to people in his mind that are lower than pond scum, just because of his personal paranoia about their firearm preference.

It's always OK for their side, but never for ours.. THAT is old and I'm too old to step back and get my hands slapped. I live in the great socialist state of Illinois where we are taxed to death as working citzens and then hunted like criminals for being law abiding gun owners and I've been fighting this stygmata for over 20 years and I've had my fill of the other side.. the gloves are off ! I have met face to face and debated SArah Brady and most of her henchmen and YET to find one fo them male or female that can come up with provable credible facts to back up their paranoia.... and I won't get into SArah's 'little legal fubar" when buying her favorite son a gun illegally :lips: or Diane Swinesteins elitest CC permits that she denies others stating "she's going to get them before they get her".. but feels no one else in her state has that same right. And the list of the hoplophoes and their blazing contradictions goes on and on.. but the mainstream media ignors it.. therefore it must be the newest set of commandments per the antigun lot..

Oh spare me.... the tired old antigun rhetoric that has been disproved time and time again.

As for my comment about how to say his name, I'm serious I was not taunting him... I have a long time friend, who's as Greek as they come and their last name is KARAS like the football player.. ask her what it is suppose to be and she does not have a clue... her grandmother was the coolest old lady and made this killer baklava... I love that stuff but its not on my list of OK things to eat for my blood sugar ! If they could give me a receipe for more of a low sugar, low carb version I'd make it each week...

Poor dogs, they gave up and are just lying here sighing very heavily... I have to let them out for the last time and get some zzz's.

ciao..

People like this Micha fellow are an interesting breed. They resent success and successful people. They dislike this country and have a perpetual grass is greener mentality. This is true even if they were standing outside of a gulag or concentration camp. They consider the defensive activities of law-abiding citizens bad and evil. They generally dismiss or absolve the criminal elements because they consider them dumb and lacking opportunity.

They are generally cowards and depend on the good graces of real Americans to bail them out when they come asking for help.

Could not agree more and have encountered them all through in life in many places for many reasons and the mindset is always the same. AND I find more often than not they are very threatened by females that are strong and independent and don't show the need for a man to rule their lives or continually give them permission to speak or do anything. Almost always they start on us with this "dyke, lesbian" crap. Which I personally find amusing but insulting since I do have life long friends that happen to be lesbians who are intelligent, highly educated professionals in the business world and I know they would be insulted by the stereotype as well.

Had one like that in a business meeting of some potential reps not long ago.. HE "assumed" that I was just the secretary there to take notes for my boss, and "my boss aka my husband" let him believe that to see how he was going to act towards me. Done for specific reason .. our biz, majority of clients are female and they are well educated, usually business women themselves and are quite capable of doing business one and on and most find this "you must be puppeted by a male or you are worthless" attitude insulting, most are married with families and hardly dykish in their mannerisms or appearance. The gentleman in question was interviewing to be a rep with us and its important how "reps" come acoss to both male and female' clientele in our field. He did not do well from the the start.. I usually ignore most of the Honey, baby, sweetie comments ... but this man was relentless in his bombardment of machoism at me. When they got to contract discussion time he asked if it was necessary I was there for such priveledged discussion and where was the senior ownership partner of the company ?

I smiled and said nothing.. my husband replied... you just asked the Senior Partner of this company to leave, couple of the other men laughed, they figured out earlier who I was without being introduced. The guy looks around and says its just you and me pal, these 3 other guys and that secretary of yours. I handed the man my business card and smiled and he gulped and said OH....... we finished our meeting and I shook his hand, told him it was nice to meet him and we would be in touch. He never so much as said thank you to me - he continued to talk TO my husband and ignore me. Obviously his return call was not an offer. When he asked why.. my husband told him it was obvious he was not comfortable dealing with women in key positions and many of our clients ARE female in those positions and we will not insult them. His comment was he would prefer to handle just the male clients.. During the meeting this guy was antigun, anti female except for the barefoot and pregnant clicque, anti gay, about everything out of his mouth was like watching the stereotypical character on TV or some movie that has to prove how manly he is and how macho he is by putting everyone else around him down for some real or imagined paranoia about them. We do not discuss anything private about our clients, but since we deal with musicans predominately, a good section of the males are gay, the females are NOT, but very independent females. This guy would self destruct in a few weeks once he discoved all his paranoia's about people were those he was dealing with and who paid his salary ultimately. ... like our poster here Micah :yh_cowboy

CYA later.. my faxes just went through so I must grab my brief case and make my way out of here to meet with the people I just faxed and its over an hours drive.

For those who argue that only criminals own guns and therefore guns should be banned, let me give you another real life example of yet another town taking this issue 180 degrees from the gun control crowd.

This city is now flourishing and enjoying economic propriety compared to its sister towns that surround her. Why? Their crime rate has tanked.

most people go blank when they see my name, i guess any name longer than three syllables and it's too much. the 'americanized' way to pronounce it, which is pretty much how i pronounce it, is

theo-dor-OP-oulos or perhaps even clearer, theo-door-OP-u-lus

i can usually get people to say it with this - Say "Indianapolis". Now say "Theodoropoulos".

parsing the name strictly left to right, it means

theo: god

doro: gift

poulos: son of

so, 'son of god's gift' or 'son of the gift of god'.

i grew up believing/being told that it was a very rare greek name - that all of the theodoropouloses came from one small town in the mountains of the peloponessus. however, the internet has dashed that belief. it seems the world is asses-to-elbows in theodoropouloses.....

Oh - to keep this on topic: The second amendment does NOT guarantee an individual right to own firearms.....

the second amendment codifies and enumerates that right, which is a priori.

rights are a priori - their existence precedes any description of them. the constitution describes some of our rights, but it doesn't guarantee them. it merely codifies those rights into writing, so that no [despot/dictator/fascist/tyranny] may say 'oh, we weren't sure about that'. I hold the right regardless of the existence of the constitution or the bill of rights. sort of along the lines of 'we hold these truths to be self-evident'. that they are written in the constitution is a grand thing - but it's not the fact that they are written that guarantees them.

the biggest failing people have in this regard is in saying 'hey, see this, it says right here i have this right - the government says i have this right, and it's written down for all to see'. but the government didn't write the constitution, the people wrote the constitution. the people grant the government certain powers but the rights we hold ourselves. the government does NOT grant us our rights.

Thank you Anastrophe. I keep forgetting who has the power.

Well said! :yh_clap Copy this and post it at random in 15 or 20 other threads; doesn't matter if it's off topic. People need to see this. It's the forest people are always talking about, but can't see.

The Obstacle of an Armed Citizenry

anastrophe wrote: most people go blank when they see my name, i guess any name longer than three syllables and it's too much. the 'americanized' way to pronounce it, which is pretty much how i pronounce it, is

theo-dor-OP-oulos or perhaps even clearer, theo-door-OP-u-lus

i can usually get people to say it with this - Say "Indianapolis".

As we Scandajoovians say "TACK" on both explanations :D

Hi guys... missed the bunch of you with a few exceptions and a place where commonsense seems to rule the day. The world is just nuts out there.. and clients are worse.. geez !

CVX - you just said the dirtest word in the antigun world :wah: KENNESAW .. notice how they recoil like Vampires from Glowing crosses and holy water. Then again they recoil like that anyway from crosses and holy water HA !

SWIZZEL STICK ... good one Accountable, have to remember that one and file it with the "not the brighest ....." and the Mushroom people quote.

As for your comment Far "the biggest failing people have in this regard is in saying 'hey, see this, it says right here i have this right - the government says i have this right, and it's written down for all to see'. but the government didn't write the constitution, the people wrote the constitution. the people grant the government certain powers but the rights we hold ourselves. the government does NOT grant us our rights. "

I could not agree with you more, except for the single exception that our "government" needs to remember who it is, how it got there and WHO IT ANSWERS TO NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Therein lies the biggest problem with all the hopolophobes in public office. I wish I was in CA a night or so ago when Swinestein was up on her pulpit doing her thing ... and had a bunch of gun hecklers with me yelling " pull up your skirt and show us your .38 " :lips:

... Is XXena on hold again.. yes I am.. with 1 888 INDIA Tech Support... oopps.. Habib is back... gotta run.

The difference between Congress as envisoned by the Founding Fathers and the Congress we have today is one of them inspires patriots to support it, and the other inspires patriots to buy extra ammo (Angel Shamaya):lips:
