I am always amazed at the large volume of clothing shoppers

and I wonder what they do with all that they buy

cause they sure aren't wearing it to go shopping. :D

When I shop for clothes, I am dressed with the least amount on and cool comfortable clothing, for quick changes and hot dressing rooms.

plus I only clothes shop IF I need something.

I'm always amazed at clothes buyers too. I look at my daughter's floor and it's covered in clothes. She's always finding something new. Something on sale.

I have a closet full of clothes. I'm constantly getting rid of clothes I've outworn, they are too worn to wear to work, so I toss them out or give them away. Then I buy new clothes in the fall/winter- in summer I'll buy some more. I don't always make good choices. Sometimes I'll buy something I believe to be a hideously low price for the quality even though there's some odd quirk to it. I might find myself disappointed after awhile for making that kind of a purchase.

Sometimes I'll find the perfect item. Great looking (well, in my taste) comfortable, affordable, washable without being made of ugly fabric. I'll be so happy- it's disgusting how I can be made happy buying clothes. Not very spiritually inclined I guess.

I get sad thinking about all these clothing retailers going out of business because noone will buy their hideous clothes under their florescent lighting in the mall at those prices they want. What a joke! So maybe it's right that they fail. It's just, how much do these retailers play into the U.S. economy? If our future depends on these businesses, I'm only now becoming aware, then we aren't in good hands.

That's about it.

They bought a million dollar home in this new development about 20 miles from me. Honestly don't know how they do it. I don't spend money on crazy things like expensive clothes. I spend money on vacations...my downfall:guitarist

No Watermark, it's not disgusting to be happy buying new clothes that make you feel good. We all need a boast to make us happy. That's a good thing.

You don't think so? Sometimes I want to become a sect member or part of a clan so I can have someone telling me it's ok to wear the same thing everyday. I'd like to wake up in the morn and put on the same (clean) gown or whatever I wore the day before and not have to consider ever again about buying clothes.

I know what you mean. I am also amazed at the amount of clothes some people actually buy. I used to know a friend who bought clothes everyday ( yes...you heard me right... every single day !) . She was quite well dressed but I have no idea how she found the space in her house to put all of her clothes in.

I admit that I do have more than enough clothes to wear right now but when I find a real bargain ( very cheap clothing), I can't help but buying it even though I don't really need it. I have lots of clothes that I bought that I haven't actually worn yet but when I do start wearing it, I wear that piece quite often ( that'sa just the way I am.)

I don't know many men who love to shop for clothes but I do know a lot of women who love clothes shopping.

I once worked with a woman who never wore the same thing twice. She used the attic of their home to store all her stuff.

Though she never duplicated her outfits, she wasn't very stylishly dressed. I think she just had so much to choose from cause she never threw anything out.

Hubs was watching a show tonight about these super rich people. It was disgusting the amount of money they spend on stupid things. I was disgusted and left the room and he finally turned it off. It was gross that these super rich people have no effing clue as to how the rest of us "peasants" make a living. Makes me want to barf.:lips:

Yes! Gross. They have no taste in buying things, etc. Instantly rich doesn't make you look great, tacky is more like it.

Have you ever seen Sweet 16 on MTV? Those bratty girls are such b*tches. We didn't do anything for our daughter....as it was just another birthday and she was anything but sweet.:wah:
