Well I think this is it !

Over some considerable time I have been struggling with various happenings in my real life, some have been sorted, but most will be ongoing.

Recently something happened that has shaken my family to the core and has caused extreme stress, and this is likely to be ongoing for many months to come. No it's not the fact that my brother-in-law had a heart attack, or even that my second oldest brother has cancer and is undergoing chemo at the end of which course, he will have his bladder removed, and no it is not the fact that my husband nearly died from C.diff at the beginning of the year or my son was very ill from the same thing. I cannot say much about this latest 'happening' except to say that it is just about the worst thing to have occurred in my life at any time.

With all these things happening in my real life, I have posted some stuff on the threads which may have upset people over the past months, I have realised this and have always apologised. I have meant this sincerely.

Unfortunately some people seem to hold a grudge and refuse to have any compassion at all, even though they may know my real life circumstances, they seem to not understand that RL things can colour a person's emotional state and cause irrational actions, comments, etc. I have come on FG to try to escape, for a short while, my RL. But it seems to be making things worse for me.

I have tried to explain to these people, but I am still in the dog house for things which happened months ago. This I cannot cope with along with all the other things that are going on at home. I find myself getting so upset when I come on here, and as I cannot make the stuff at home go away, I find that I must make the stuff on here go away. At least till things have eased a little at home, which could be a few weeks or a lot of months, I just don't know. I know that I will miss, terribly, my friends on here, but under the circumstances, I think it is for the best.

I think more and more these days, what is there in life that is worth living for ?

I have a song link on my signature which I quite often listen to, when I am really down about things, and I find it helps a little, even though it may bring a tear to my eye while I listen. It does help a little.

Another signature, which I feel is so true is mrsK's signature. This applies to so many people on here, I know. It is so worth thinking about when you read people's posts.

I am sooooo sorry to hear this sad news. You are always one of my special friends in the FG, and I have missed you so much.

Please just take a break and don't delete your account. I would have to come to the UK and hunt you down girl:-4

What ever it is that you're going through Gill, take some time for yourself and you'll get through all this. :-4

There's plenty to live for and be thankful for. In your darkest hours look towards the sky and gaze at the stars and moon, the sunshine during the day and know someone is looking down upon you and helping you move through another day.

I'm so sorry to hear you are so burdened at this time. Only you know what is best for you and you need to do that. FG will be here whenever you are up to playing again.

I realised for myself a need to step back from posting my comments.

I found my opinion was altered by my RL episodes - perhaps harsh and too blunt, which wasn't me.

I also rely on FG as a release from RL - I'm usually in the Arcade, as I've seen you G Gill in the Arcade also.. I had hoped to compete..?

The Arcade is a escape from RL.

Looking forward to seeing you in the Arcade or Casino..??

G Gill - I wish there was something I could do or say for Real Life

this has been a terrible unhealthy year for you & me.

There are several here at FG who care and appreciate you..

I'm sorry Gill but I have read some stuff about what your going through with your family and I would not hold anything against you as I consider you a good friend. I just hope everything works out in the end for you and yours. I kind of look at it as I don't really know what's going on with your loved ones but I can still give you a friendship hug and say "I care and still cherish you" even if and when you are going through the emotional mess that comes with RL problems.

I have been doing some reading & came across this thread.

I was wondering what had happened to Gill.

Gill all I can say is RL does have a way of catching up to all of us.

Some in good ways & others not so good.

Just know that you have some good friends here who care & worry about you & what you are going through.
