Hello!

Just Clearing The Air:

Someone responded to one of my articles at this forum, and said the following:

"Derryck operates like a Bombardier. He drops his loads, and takes off again."

I find this comment very funny, but I took it to mean that this person felt, that I am not a consistent user at this forum!

However, just allow me to explain my position.

I consider myself an avid writer. I am also very interested in International Political Issues, and current Socio-Political Affairs. I am automatically drawn to fora that deal with such issues in an objective, challenging, positive & encouraging dialogue. I am also a Moderator of several Yahoo Groups, that target the Bisexual & Gay communities. This position also takes a lot of my time to monitor, and service. I also have several BLOG SITES that I service, and promote in my political discussions.

Am I spreading myself too thin? Maybe, but I enjoy what I do, and will continue to facilitate discussions that are of interest to me.

So if I seem not to be too regular at this forum, it is not that I am in-consistent, but I may be otherwise engaged at other fora!

Incidentally, I like to have the autonomy to mange what I produce, without censorship, direction, control, and dictation. And Yahoo has recently facilitated people like me with their (360Yahoo.com Blogs). This is a new facility for members of Yahoo, to Create-Manage-Facilitate-Publish-and have full control without direction, of their publications. With un-limited storage for Blogging.

And this is all provided for FREE.

You needn't ask. I jumped at the opportunity to have my own BLOG Site, without having to operate in a BOX.

So that in a nutshell, is my position at the moment.

I would reply to this post that I'm the one that made the bombadier comment because Derryck starts threads but never returns to reply to questions, clarifications, etc. But since he has never once posted more than one time on any given thread, what's the point?

I have to agree with ACC, if you start a post stick around to reply to it, you seem to like to come on and just drop your load and leave. I hope we do hear more from you but stick around and respond to your posts.

I think you just like to watch our reaction.

Must admit I get quite annoyed when I see newbies to the garden, not introduce themselves, make 1 thread on all their problems and then never hear from then again.

Have to agree with AC as well on this subject, that you can't just start a thread, express your views and then just leave it and not respond in any way.

Yes I just noticed that he has done similiar things on other threads. Well all his threads in fact and that they all revolve around sex. Very sad.

Hahaha I like it. Well I haven't met him myself but from what I gather from others I can't see him staying here for much longer, especially if everyone just ignores him.

Well if it another post designed to cause a reation in people and then he just leaves I will ignore it, If he sticks around to discuss it thats a different matter. :-5

Agreed, but by the sounds of it he has done this for all of his 20 to 30 posts so far. So whether he will actually discuss his points we will have to wait and see, let's hope so.

I noticed the sex thing too but I don't think it's sad. I think he just likes being controversial. You'll notice all his remarks come "from his research" thus removing his personal life from the "statistics" he likes to spew. Which is OK. Sometimes you need someone to play devils' advocate. But it's much more fun when the person sticks around to defend what they just said. What's the point of being controversial if you're not going to play?

You guys all said what I was thinking after reading his post. To say he likes discussion and dialogue is a friggin' joke. If that were the case, he'd take part in his own threads. He doesn't, so to me, he's full of it.

To answer your question Derryck, are you spreading yourself too thin....yes, apparently you are, but it's fine, we get to use your threads for comic relief.
