The only beef I have about getting older is that I still feel the same inside as I did when I was in my twenties, but the flamin outer casing is getting like a tatty old suitcase ! However, having said that, I find that as you get older, you can 'get away' with more things, simply because there are a lot of people who just can't believe what you just did, or said, at your age !!!! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

No, only when I am not as physically fast/fit as the young ones. Puts me at a disadvantage in TKD, I use strategy instead in a match.

Age is just a number in my book. It's how you feel about yourself. You know, young at heart kind of deal.

I have no grey hairs yet, all my own sparkly teeth and my skin is relatively good. Maybe once I start greying and wrinkling I will feel differently.
I think it helps immensely that my hubby tells me he loves me at least 3 times a day and shows me as much interest today as when we first met.:-4

Funny you should ask that...........I'm 62 on Sunday and officially retired from work today....feels a lot stranger than I thought it would........anyway I'm off to buy a new camera tomorrow and start on my new hobby.
Back to the question....my answer is yes and no....ha, ha....you can tell I'm getting older. ...indecision creeping in.

Congratulations on your retirement Bez, well done, you made it!
I remember when you were 60 & contemplating it, now it's here! It does feel strange at first. However, after a little while, you'll wonder how did I ever get along working?! I took early retirement 3-1/2 years ago, (and I can honestly say now, that I would not want to have to work at a job ever again) and one of the things I wanted to do was join a gym. Well, I finally got round to it just last month!!! So many planned & unplanned things & projects popped up that took presidence. I could never get to do these projects while I was still working.
So anyway, enjoy that new camera, & hobby!

Major advantage to getting older...we're allowed to say what we want and people just roll their eyes.
Major disadvantage- trying to read small print and getting up from the floor...that gets harder each year!

I'm too compassionate to be an utter bastard.
Too self respecting to be a caring idiot.
Too much pride to give up the self respect.
And not willing to take the rap for a lack of compassion.
Where does this leave me? Nowhere. What does this leave me? Nothing. Who does this leave me? Noone.
