This forum business....Ive been on since I dont know 6:30 7:00 this morning. How long have you been on ? Whats the longest youve been logged on ? Gets to a point where its like an illness. Im disgusted with myself, its Saturday ! Is internet addiction a real thing ? Do you ever find yourself neglecting other areas of your life that need to be attended to ? Perhaps its a seclusionary diversion ?

You just love us, and don't want to miss any of the action, Nomad!

FG is my playground, I goof around while double-tasking at the computer. Writing up a nice little old midterm right now..............................

I don't have time to neglect other areas of my life, I always stop the computer stuff when RL calls.

I'm new to all this forum stuff so nothings being neglected...yet....it is getting to me though!!!

I've been in and out of FG all day starting at 8am this morning ( just checking what had been happening across the Atlantic over night).



Sometimes I make the HARD choice of visiting FG over other things....I visit in my lunch hour at work, and if i go out I have to rush to the computy to see what I've missed.....addicted....nahhhh....help !!!!

Well it's 6:20 am, I get up early every morning just so I can log on before I have to go and do other things. I usually stay up extra late so I spend some time here too



It is the first thing I do in a morning and the last thing at night. I normally stay logged on during the day but it's usually pretty quiet cause your all in bed. :-1



Definatly addicted, but it doesn't stop me doing other things I think about you all when I'm away from my computer:-6

Yes the internet and forums can suck you in forever and never let you out.. You must learn to ration your time online..

i've had a pc for less than 2 years...before i got it i read TONS of books. i just realized i need to get back into books. i love the pc, it's my lifeline around the world, but it's time to read again. the old-fashioned way. ...so we have a new library in my town, i went there friday. part of the landscaping is a large pond right at the front entrance...with alligator warning signs all around it! where else can you go to the library and worry about being chomped by a big toothy reptile???? reading is bad for your health! :wah:

Stay home LC, to many nasty predetors out side the house. Get them to post you books to you, it'll be much safer:D

i'm still reletively new so i'm still looking around finding all these threads. i must say there is a lot to catch up on.

sometimes i come in and out often enough that i just stay logged in.

i guess i should go watch the Indy now though.

Yeah , it can be addicting, thats why every so often I wont let myself log on, for anything, thats when I read.

-otherwise I would be here 24-7.

My 14 yr old son is on the other computer as much as Im on mine, he plays an online game with people from all over the world. Before he started playing he used to go out all the time with his friends, I was glad when he started to stay home as his friends get into a bit of trouble when they go out, they steal from the shops and now I have heard that his good friend has gone to live with his uncle who isn't a good role model, his friend is now smoking Yannie at the age of 14. I'm glad he is on the computer at least I know he's safe.

yes online gaming is great, provided you have a fast enough internet connection...which i don't.

I'm quite new to all this forum stuff but it's certainly taking a hold on me - I've been here for most of the afternoon. Haven't posted much, just getting to know my way around but I do think I could become very addicted.

I tend to go in phases...when I'm on, I'm usually ON, especially if other people are online and active, but then I'll disappear for a few days. It's hard to do that with FG because there are so many people and so many posters that if you disappear too long there's just too much stuff to catch up on!

FG seems like an OK addiction to have because at least it stimulates your brain. We have lots of advice and debate threads and things that make you do research, so it certainly seems better than just being online in some chat room somewhere.
