What if Jesus came today?

What if the Son of God returned to Earth this very minute? What if some guy came walking down your street with a sword in his hand?
Would you believe him or would you think he was a schizophrenic (sp?) nut?
Tell me honestly. What if the second coming came? How long would it take you to believe it?

It would take a hell of a lot more than a guy coming down the street that looks like the pictures of Jesus, with a sword in his hands. Now, if he were to pull a Moses and part the traffic on a major intersection, maybe, just maybe.

Whew! Personally, I'd be glad to see him. I've already had a life chock-full of adventure, a wonderful, fulfilling family and career life. I'd be bags-packed-and-ready-to-leave!
Besides, I'm dying to talk to his Father and ask him about a few things, maybe even rewind my life and watch it like a movie all over again. What fun!:o

If it happens, there won't be a person of any faith that will have any doubt what is happening for even a second.

Well, I always thought Jesus would appear in the Clouds of Glory, and everyone would see Him..............we would know it was Him before the soles of His feet touched ground.
I'm with Jives, my bags are packed and ready.....................

ok lemme put it this way... if some homeless man came up to you and asked for ten dollars to feed himself and his dog would you give it to him? if the answer is no then you would probably send jesus to the nut house. if the answer is yes then you would give tha man ten dollars and be blessed by god because you gave blindly to your fellow man and jesus would show himself to you.

I think that when Jesus returns, we're all going to know, and there will be no mistake about it and whom it is. (Although, we do need to be wary of the antichrist. He will be returning first to the earth.) I think our whole beings are going to realize it when Jesus comes, as well as the very universe we're functioning in.

If anyone has the slightest uncertainty if it's the second coming of Christ, it's not the second coming of Christ. And look out, because Satan will try to fake it first. Anyone who hasn't done their Bible homework and doesn't know what the second coming is supposed to look like (coming in the clouds, like Chonsi says), and who isn't sealed with the seal of God, the Holy Spirit, is sure to be hoodwinked!
The real answer to DesignerGal's question is "Of course I'll know!" The only question that remains for every one of us is, what will I say? Will I say, "Look! Here is the Lord! We have waited for Him!" Or will I call for the rocks and the mountains to fall on me to hide me from His face? That's the question.

If Jesus were to return today he would be justifiably appalled at the way many so called Christian churches have betrayed the message he came to bring in the first place.
He will be looking for those who live in a developing tranforming realtionship with God and will disregared all of the useless dogma and doctrine that man has created. He will be concerned about whether we did justice, loved kindness and walked humbly with God.
Furthermore he won't care if one is Christian, First Nations, Hindu, Muslim etc. Did they do the above.
Shalom
