I had a breadmaker at my previous address (the ex got custody). I used it daily, you need to get into a routine of loading it every day, and the smell of fresh bread is wonderful. I used to load mine at night and set the timer for the morning so we woke to fresh bread each morning. Heaven.

Certainly easy to use, but fiddly to weigh the ingredients.

im just trying to be as healthy as possible, im fed up of buying things in the shop and not quite knowing where theyve come from and what they really have in them....



and i do find fresh bread cought over the counter is a million times nicer than a loaf of hovis.....

making your own would be better for you - no preservatives!





Remember that if you don't eat a lot of bread buy one that makes a small loaf as it will not stay fresh very long, by the second day it's really only nice for toast.



I'm considering buying another but mine would only be used for wheat free bread.

I love my breadmaker... mine will also prepare the dough for any type of bread I want to fix... sometimes I let it make the dough for rolls, then do the rest of letting them rise .... as I said I love mine.

Ive got one but i dont know how to use it.

I've never used one, yet. However, I did buy one for my husband. He wanted fresh baked bread and I didn't want to make it. So, he now does this.

Since then, my husband has become part of a group at church, the Bakers and Takers, which supplies bread for new people as a welcome. He's one of the bakers. He gets a call and then immediately starts to measure out the ingredients. Takes him no time at all. In the morning he wraps it and another person, a taker, will come by the house and pick it up to deliver it to someone.

This has been a win-win situation and I wouldn't think of treading on his baking toes......

Try it. It apparently is very easy. If you haven't yet bought one, be sure to purchase one that will continue in the breadmaking cycle, if you lose power -- not one that will start the cycle over again.
