Hey I dunno where to put these, but I love taking photos, so here is what I did this weekend. Took the new car out on the hiway and drove like my arse was on fire till the road ran out. Ok it ran into the base of a mountain, I turned left and meandered along until I came to this lovely little stop. This is just a smattering of what I live near by. The cattle were being hurded to safety as one had been struck by a car earlier in the day, I passed it on the way out and the cattle drive on the way back. Oh yeah and the snow in the mountains.... it is fresh.

Those are lovely pictures Minks. I wish I was lucky enough to be able to visit beautiful scenery like that every once in a while. Oh and is it me, or does that shadow with the hat on remind me of someone?? :sneaky:

This one is a stunning photo, Bez. Very atmospheric. Well worth sending to a photographic journal.
I like the blue flowers too. They look like they're nuzzling each other.

wow they really are beautiful piccies, the ones where you live, i am soooo jealous, i woudl love to live somewhere like that, imagine waking to see views like that everyday....
and snow too.... so not fair!
love the blue flowers one too btw
the shadow one i like but i think the shadows just too long for the picture maybe? kinda mishapes you a little too much..... theres something odd about it... its a REALLY great idea though, think you should play around with it and take a few more like it, its quite an original idea, not seen it done before
they really are great pics minks
pls post us more as and when you take them

Great work Minks, for me the best ones are the snow capped mountain images, they wouldnt look out of place in a glossy brochure.
You musy get them printed up proffesionally, it may cost a bit , but it will be worth it.
I cant remember if I sent you this before, its photographic site where you can upload images for advice good or bad, its a really good site, they give free space to display your own portfolio, give it a go its free.

You're so right, I can't even remember the last time I saw snow, was probably a few years ago now. We just aren't graced with snow down south here. Scotland however, that's a different matter altogether, they get snow on the hills all the time!!

Here are a couple winter shots for you guys, I will go fetch the cabin, I lost it along the way. But these were taken in British Columbia, in the Windermere Valley on the day of New Years Eve, the beau surprised me with a weekend trip out here.

Aww thanks hun, some of those old pics make me a bit sad, they seem to scream,; "part of a past life" but hey, so we geer up and make new memories I guess.
Sigh. Thanks for taking a look and I am glad you enjoyed the pics. I love looking at people's pics.
In the first link I had a comment from A Rafael K, he is a fantastic local photographer, and I had the privledge of going on a photo day with him It was so fun, trying to compete for good shots, he and I are linked on FG with pictures of Bragg Creek. His work is really worth looking at too. His shots and photo journals are amazing.
Again your positive comments encourage me to do more pics.
