I am opening up this thread as a dedication to Kathy/Montana.
Last week Raven and I lost an interesting person from our lives. I am terrible at dedications but I thought I would start a thread for this reason
I hope anyone else who looses a friend will slip a dedication in here.
Blessings, and eternal Peace Montana

Heres the obit to our friend. We spent many an hour laughing and cutting up. Sending christmas cards, and making snowflakes. We shared alot of our lives in a short span of years.
Missoula, Mt- Roberta Kathleen Estes-Roshoffe died Aug. 31, 2005, at her home due to complications from breast cancer.
Kathy was born July 24,1952, in Missoula to Bob and Elizabeth Estes. She attended Alberton grade school, graduating from Sentinel High school in 1970.
After earning a criminology degree from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu. Kathy was accepted into the University of Montana's graduate studies, and graduated in 1980 with a masters in criminoloy.
In addition to her academic excellence, Kathy was gifted with musical, artistic abilities.
Accomplished in piano and voice, Kathy won several talent contests, she competed in school music festivals and was selected to play in the Young Keyboard Artists Association competition in Ann Arbor, Mich.
From early childhood,Kathy treasured the time she spent with her family riding horses, packing into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Hunting in Fish Creek and Mineral County.
On July 19, 1971, Kathy married Patrick Michael Roshoffe. She met her love while at the Police Academy.
Kathy loved to travel, visiting nearly every state in the United States and many other parts of the world.
Kathy retired from police work in 1995. She and Pat bought a ranch outside of Missoula. This is the place that brought joy and peace for her.
How we shall miss her.

Through another forum we all belonged to. I was there for three years. Montana and Roshoffe joined about a year after I did. Minks came with the wallpaper I think. We got to know one another quite well. We followed each other all over the internet! :p

That seems to be the way so many people want to be remembered now. I think it's a fantastic idea, and such a worthy cause. Good on you, Raven.

Yep! Mom is 8 yrs old. And it's such a personal issue to all of us ladies. Kathy was too young! She had so much life to live yet! LC reminds me of her in alot of ways. And friends is friends no matter where in the world you happen to be.

Yeah....actually I did. She was into serious law enforcement. Her hubby is a retired cop. Tough gals...both of you. Cut from the same kind of cloth, I think. The best sort. I'm really going to miss her.:-1
They just got a new angus bull. (they have a ranch) He stepped on the hubbys foot and broke it. The laughs we had over that bull! (she didnt want to get it)
I'm glad I was privledged to be numbered amongst her friends.

I remember my best friend in High School, Connie. She died in the 80's of cancer. Connie lived down the street from me so, for a awhile , we hung out. I remember most her terrific smile. She has not been forgotten.

I miss my Brother Richard who died 26months ago of a heart attack he was only 48 and is missed dearly by his wife and kids and all of his siblings. My parents have never really got over the shock of it all as the docs said he'd had a heart defect for years which was never found in any tests he had at the hospital...
