NBC just finished a fund raising concert for Hurricane Katrina victims. Only 1 hour! Less than 10 celebrities. Maybe the guy that said we don't care so much for our poor black folk wasn't so far off base. At least about Hollywood.

I don't think your statement is particularly fair about the Hollywood folks. Given the speed with which the program was put together, they were lucky to find 10 celebs that could appear, besides, Hollywood is well known for it's liberal bent. Look for those folks to contribute big time.

I must say when I heard about the concert I thought about Acc's comment about putting together a concert for global warming in the Environment section. We do love to donate to music, don't we?

What'd we have for the tsunami effort? 9/11? This time was weak. Maybe it was too rushed, but it was weak.

I don't suppose anyone went to any of the Live 8 concerts? I only managed to see them on tv but they were brilliant, and had so much support behind them.
