I think I got off quite lightly today then, I've been watching banks of clouds passing over us, we had some thunder and lightning this morning but no rain, patchy blue sky out there at the moment.

I'ts gone a bit dark here on the south coast (Sussex)....it's been hot and airless so expect a storm. Providing they don't do damage, I love thunderstorms. When I was a child they really scared me, but I have grown to appreciate the wonders of nature as I've got older. I am really in awe of RAINBOWS...such a spectacular sight.

I'm 10 miles west of Brighton...58 miles from London.....no storm here yet. I expect it will wait until I've gone to bed and then keep me awake all night.

Same here...sitting by the window on my computer waiting for something to happen...the air has cleared though so i think I might be disappointed. I'm only a couple of miles from the sea....sometimes the sea breezes blow the storms in land.

I've had to wait 5 days, but this morning while still at my brothers there was a thunder storm. Luckily, it stopped before i started on the 2 hr journey home, but hoping for some more....exhilarating !
