Trikke: Next Big Thing for Kids?

Invented a dozen years ago by Brazilian engineer Gildo Beleski, the three-wheeled Trikke (prounced trike), a cross between a scooter and a tricycle, was unveiled to the public in 2002. The inventor partnered with John Simpson, a former distributor of the highly popular Razor scooters.
LOS ANGELES -- The unlikely quest to make a mutant scooter into the “next big thing†for kids and hipsters has brought together a Brazilian engineer, a California trendspotter and a cross-country trekker.
