MOSCOW, August 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia paid $2 billion of the final early installment on its debt to the Paris Club of Creditor Nations Monday, the Finance Ministry said.

On July 15 and July 29, $13 billion of that amount was transferred in two branches to 11 countries: Australia, Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Canada, the United States, France, Finland and Sweden.

The remaining five Paris Club members, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Norway and Japan, were to receive the remaining $2.3 billion August 20, but the payments were made on Friday, August 19 and Monday, August 22 since the 20th fell on a Saturday.

They've come so far. Oh, so far.

I'm really impressed that they have honored their financial commitments. And, yes, you're right about them becoming the creditor in the future!

They thank YOU at the pump.
