Question:
* The Un-examined Life:
* Is It Worth Living?
This question was raised by kissFm .com Radio Host (Michael Baisden), on LoveLustAndLies.com recently, and I thought that it would be a very good topic to be discussed here too.
Personally, I believe that every individual must take inventory of his/her life, or life-style. This helps with forward planning, and objective thinking. And helps the individual to see himself/herself in relation to the present moment. There can never be too much reflection of inward scrutiny! life is too short for us to waste it on the petty & frivolous. Then at the end of our time here on this planet, we are still wondering what have we really done or achieved that was so important or significant.
I also believe that as individuals on this planet, we are also a part of the cosmic web of life, and that every action done by each individual, affects (directly or indirectly) the entire cosmic experience spiritually. No man is an island onto his/herself. The global village or community that it has now become, with the advent of the telephone, telegraph, the airplane, ocean going vessels, the Internet, and mass inter-continental transportation, has enabled communication between cultures & geographic territories, hitherto impossible.
Therefore, striving for and cultivating meaningful relationships with each other, helps greatly to make our sojourn here pleasant, meaningful & sometimes even peaceful.
Om Shanti.
