You were probably one of the guys who sent the newbie to requisition batteries for a chem-light.

Sounds like the chem-light story. The poor guy was going all over the base and the guys were calling ahead to keep this poor sot going. I guess it's a lot like snipe hunts..............

In the Air Force we made newbies go find 50 yards of flight line (the flightline is the tarmac runway) :-6



Sometimes at the end of the day we'd look around at each other: "Did you get the keys?" "I didn't get the keys. The new guy got the keys." "New Guy, where are the keys?" "What keys?" "The keys to the plane. You mean you left the keys in the ignition?!? You'd better go get 'em!"



Of course aircraft don't have ignition keys. :yh_rotfl

my Grampa and his brother took my a 4 cousins "snile hunting when we were 7 or 8.

I plan on taking my neice and nephew next week. should be loads of laughs. well for me and Dad at least.
