Woodland Calif. police Saturday arrested a man discovered
skinning a pit bull.
Transient John Hummer, 47, was found alongside a gas station
skinning the dog with a knife. Law enforcement officials
said his hands were drenched in blood.
Animal control officers collected the body and determined
the dog had several puncture wounds and had died within
the previous hour.
Hummer was charged with maliciously and intentionally
killing a dog, a felony, and booked into the Yolo County
Jail.
