Woodland Calif. police Saturday arrested a man discovered

skinning a pit bull.

Transient John Hummer, 47, was found alongside a gas station

skinning the dog with a knife. Law enforcement officials

said his hands were drenched in blood.

Animal control officers collected the body and determined

the dog had several puncture wounds and had died within

the previous hour.

Hummer was charged with maliciously and intentionally

killing a dog, a felony, and booked into the Yolo County

Jail.

even though i would have liked to have been the arresting officer, to make sure he didn't fall down or anything, i also suspect he is profoundly mentally ill, like so many transients.

What a sad, sorry, sick world we live in :-1

Why he would do it seemingly where he was visible to passers-by

though, I don't know.



I think there are too many services out there available for a truly hungry

person to resort to that.

Even though I'm anti-Pit Bull, let's get this straight....

I would NEVER stand for torturing or abusing any animal!
