There is an expression---------He will welsh on that bet or he welshed on the bet. I looked the word up and of course it means to renege, but I could not find any connection to WELSH people. Anyone no it's derivation?

Some are... it's amazing how many people can speak only Welsh when there's

a "foreigner" about. Fortunately, it's not as hard as it was to get a drink there

on Sunday, nowadays.
