I pretty much hit rock bottom with Vicki, my poor girl. She got worse. Much worse. She has a genetic venous disease for which there is no name that I know of (or that any doctor knows of apparently.) She has been ill for over a decade now, but things have deteriorated. She began to get large holes in her skin that were very deep. They wouldn't heal. I took her to every doctor and secialist I could think of in two states.

Finally, after a very heart-wrenching debacle at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque (we waited, I kid you not, for 12 hours in a little room for a doctor to come in and tell us he couldn't help us.) I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I educated myself in the biological sciences, particularly in circulatory problems. I used my knowledge of the internet and my ability to research at a library to literally train myself to be a circulatory specialist, especially in genetic circulatory diseases.

I asked myself, "Why is she getting these abcesses?" Well, the blood must not be flowing correctly in that area (capillary constriction, aggravated by her smoking), causing it to die from lack of oxygen and food. simple. "How can I increase her circulation, while also treating the skin infections and abcesses?" I needed something that would kill bacteria from the outside, since none of the internal antibiotics the doctors had given her had worked.

Just as things were at their worst, (Vicki was almost suicidal by now) I came across what I thought would help. Epsom Salts - Magnesium Sulfide. It was used in the old days as a circulatory salve. Baths in it were supposed to get rid of bruises and treat skin infections. Combine that with Aspirin - known to be one of the best natural blood thinners. But Vicki's stomach couldn't handle regular aspirin without serious stomach upset. Was there a alternative? Yes there was....baby aspirin. heavily buffered to prevent stomach upset and slow release. Just the ticket!

Now Vicki soaks in epsom salts every morning and takes baby aspirin morning and evening. All her sores have closed, and her infections (which the doctors told me were incurable even with state of the art antibiotics) are all gone. The aspirin is making her blood thin enough for completely restored circulation! She says she feels wonderful and is itching to go back to work.

$500,000 worth of medical bills, three states, 16 doctors, and three hospitals couldn't help one bit....and I walk into a Walmart and purchase $4.00 worth of common chemicals and completely cure her.

Let's not even talk about how pissed off I am at the medical establishment.

How lucky Vicki is to have such a lovely, clever clogs for a husband, i'm pleased that she's on the mend at last.

I went to the Dr. yesterday. It is almost certain that I have Lupus. It has not been properly diagnosed for the near 12 years I’ve been dealing with it, because it is a “woman’s disease”. I finally developed the butterfly shaped rash on my face that is almost like having the diagnosis written on your forehead.

The Dr. asked me what prescriptions I was taking. He asked like he fully expected me to go down the list. When I said “none”, he looked at me and asked if I was sure. After we talked a while, he began to tell me that people today are getting more sophisticated when it comes to medical care and they don’t just take the doctor’s word for it anymore. He said the herbs and vitamins I take are getting to be common. He is asking people how they work and finding that they are more effective than he had expected.

I appreciate you must be well fed up with the medical establishment but just look at what you achieved for you and Vicki! That's so marvellous!

Gosh isn't it amazing how the medical profession is stumbling. I do feel sorry for them, in the fact that there are so many a) new ailments, b) hard to detect ailments c) that they have to do a lot of guessing.

We are still playing the guessing game with my daughter. We did a Urea Breath Test even though the emergancey ward determined there was no ulcer, and we are now in line for a grastro-intestinal specialist.

Doctors are just "people" not gods, certainly they are the furtherst from it! Over the past several years, My wife & I research Web MD for all our ailments, and basically have a good idea of what we have "before" going to our General practioner. We end up going to him because he can "write prescriptions" for the meds (That we looked up on line & know we needed) we need to cure same. As the old saying goes: If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!!! :rolleyes:

Epson salts i have a box here at home its uses are - A laxative for the relief of occasional constipation - check it out magneseium sulphate

That must have been some intensive research you did. The medical profession is not short of papers and journals to sort through. I'm happy for you and Vicky that she's better.

OK, playing devil's advocate here. A post has been dug up which is over a year old...just so the author of said post can be bashed? I don't get it.

Ok why,i amit this person got me a little riled up what with his"kids who are retards"remark i found that,being as hes a teacher rather offensive then the guy went off and deleated what he wrote so i looked back to see if there were any other nasty things that had been written and i come across this one .The guy trys to make out hes god so i found it funny that the stuff hes talking about is a laxative . I havent said anything else, you all have read what you want into it . People bring up old threads all the time - you make of it what you want - i have no power

I really REALLY hate to bump this thread further, as I think bringing up old posts of this person's give him too much attention and power, but I have to say here, that all this will "die" when the person whom we are speaking about either stops with his juvenile attacks on me specifically, or gets banned.

I have read through the entire post now, BR. His post appeared to be both blatant and unprovoked. Considering his position (or his declared position), it all seems rather juvenile.

I cannot deny his intelligence and what I have encountered from him in past posts suggests this. However, it is common knowledge now that certain intelligent people have a morose psychological problem. I cannot remember the term for it.

If my guess is right, he chooses to pick on you because you bite. I have found from my own experience in my past is that the best insult is to completely ignore them.

If you ever find another post of his like this, I suggest you copy and paste it along with whatever of yours he is responding to in a PM to Admin.
