I've no idea so far how it ought to be tackled. I started thinking to maximize consonant guesses in the first two rounds, or alternatively to maximize the most frequent letters, I'm still not sure which is better than the other. There must be an optimum process.
For reference, the most frequent letters in English might be etaoinshrdlu. The first ten of those can exist in two 5-letter words.
