INFLATION TAX

Biden promised no tax for those of us who make less than hundreds of thousands a year. Well, Joe and his comrades drool
in anticipation of trillion dollar deficit budgets.

Biden Has an Inflation Problem

Real average hourly earnings have declined for seven months.

The meaning of “transitory” is getting longer all the time. That’s one conclusion from the Labor Department’s report Wednesday for July that consumer prices rose 5.4% over the last 12 months. That’s two months in a row, after a 5% annual increase in May. When does transitory, in the Federal Reserve’s inflation lingo, become persistent?

I can't see anything in that cite which confirms "Biden promised no tax for those of us who make less than hundreds of thousands a year", but I can't reed the article because it's paywalled. Do you have a source? Because I can't see that it can be true at all.

He said it at every opportunity.

WASHINGTON—President Biden’s pledge not to raise taxes on households making under $400,000 helped get him elected and shaped an administration tax plan aimed at corporations and high-income households. Now, that pledge is narrowing the path toward a bipartisan deal on infrastructure.

Can you truly not see that "Biden promised no tax" is not the same thing as "Biden’s pledge not to raise taxes"?

Could we keep the pretty pictures to the Political Cartoons thread and use the rest of it for discussion?
