Finally, an intelligible cartoon with a point I can identify. Well done.

So, what's that? America 0, Rest of the World 10? If I were American I'd be just as disillusioned with Washington as tude clearly is.

Going back as far as WW2 for an attempt at a counter-example is just conceding the point really. WW1 and the Spanish-American War would count but I doubt anyone alive can take any credit for those.

Maybe someone will be daft enough to try naming a win. Granada anyone? Would some kind person like to pretend that was a war, to get us started?

Who'd like to make my day and claim Korea as a win. Or Vietnam, or Lebanon, or Iraq, or Iraq, or Iraq. Or Afghanistan.

Somalia??

I'll generalize. America wins whenever it fights its industrialized peers except it never does. It loses when it fights insurgents which is invariably what it chooses to do. It loses when it fights insurgents because it's not possible to win hearts and minds when the people you're suppressing are residents of the country you've occupied. The only choice is between genocide or losing. The recent government in Israel faced the same dilemma.

If the reader never watched the 2017 movie "War Machine", now would be a good time. It'll be on Netflix or all good torrent clients. It describes the deployment of Stanley McChrystal and shows why depending on collaboration is a bad idea.

There's another I quite like, the labels do all reflect the radical left but I'm bothered by the inclusion of "Marxist". The labels are all Capitalist, not Marxist. Marx favored the proletariat. Lenin, after Marx was long in his grave (Lenin was 13 when Marx died) favored the revolution of the proletariat. The labels in the toolbox don't for the most part favor either the proletariat or the revolution of the proletariat, they are for the most part Capitalist Running Dogs. They are, in a word, Americans. As such they have been bred over generations for the most part to prefer Death to being in any sense Red.

So. Why Marx? Why is he such a bogeyman to people like tude? He - tude, that is - seems to know very little about the chap - Marx - or his Marxist ideas but he keeps trotting out Marx as the archetypal enemy. There's ample competition for that role.

And ought he not be drawn walking toward the left?

Because Trump was in favor of withdrawing troops from foreign countries.

So he would say.

These are getting better!

Go back through the site and see, I've been saying it since I joined - "If we want to reduce violent crime, the answer is to stop building jails". Absolutely spot on, exactly right and bloody obvious.

I'm cutting that one out and pinning it to my wall.

Well done tude, that one worked. The trouble with the criminal system is it keeps making more criminals.

If you are speaking of the cartoon with AOC making such a statement, I was glad to include it as another example of what a moron she is, 8-)

The plan???

The plan is to base all US forces within the Homeland border. How much more plan do you want?

By this time next year the Afghan government will be one exiled by America in 2002, the current government will have looted the treasury on their way out of the country and the Pentagon will be trying to resurrect regime change in Syria through every covert budget it can lay its hands on.

Take a breath. I am all for bringing the troops home. Just anxious to see how badly Harris/Biden screws things all up.

Meanwhile, back to our own border, a good place to put the troops to fix that catastrophe they created. :geek:
