Wailed at..... is probably being shouted at.......................but that is what has to happen at news conferences or else you don't get heard.

"Wailed on" is a way of saying "Beat upon"

"When Mama caught him, she wailed on him with the willow switch"

"The boys caught up with him and wailed on him til he was black and blue."

It will be interesting to see how it plays out in votes. Will the victim benefit or will the aggressor? My guess is that the aggressor benefits.

Probably, you are correct. The guy's supporters will spin local media to show this as their crusader finally giving that libtard the thrashing that Hillary and her ilk so richly deserve.

I doubt many voters will change their minds. It's not like he kicked someone's grandmother or got busted selling heroin.

To your second question. There is basically only two parties in the country that seem to matter. Most of the other parties are such minority players that they seldom put up a candidate of any consequence.

Americans like a Binary election. It is so much simpler to decide.
