You lot down there need to stop voting the tories in. There's something badly wrong when 2/3rds of the voters vote against the party that gets in to power.

One thing i would really condemn clegg for was his failure to put proportional representation as a condition of a coalition.

You've got to be joking. The Tories would never have accepted that. They know damned well if that were the case they'd never stand a hope in Hell of ever gatting back in again. The same goes for the Liberals getting in to betray everyone again as part of a coalition.

Couldn't agree more, GMC! Nick Clagnut held the whip hand for a while, and he traded it all for ministerial prestige. What a toady!!

As for the bog-trotters getting in, that's mainly down to gerrymandered boundaries (not to mention voter gullibility), and a fragmented vote.

You are quite correct about the system here, though. Needs fixing, pronto!

If Clagnut had 'grown a pair', and made PR a 'red-line issue', under threat of voting 'en mass' against the tories (thus promoting a vote of no confidence), the tories may have had little choice in the matter....
