I do because I live alone. It's more expensive per cup but it's clean/efficient and no left over waste,

We have friends that like the K machine, but we just use a 12-cup Drip at home. K-cup is good for single cup drinkers, but we drink a lot of coffee, and usually have folks coming around to visit, so the pot's always on.

In England, once you discount the Instant drinkers, a lot of what's left use a recently-designed machine which does make very acceptable coffee.
One takes a pre-packed thing full of ground coffee which might look somewhat like a shotgun cartridge but half the length, and places it into the machine's breach. A pressed button delivers a cup of coffee at the right temperature. There's a froth setting.
I have no idea what they're called but the Germans make sturdy ones and the Italians make expensive ones.

Sounds similar to the Keurig machine. The Drip pot is good for everyday use, but for a single cup in the afternoon or evening, I prefer my French Press.

I use my Keurig unit often. I don't drink a lot of coffee in a day and I like variety, so it works well for me.

Quite frankly I've got no idea what a K Cup is. When I get up it's Shave, Shower, make my sarnies for the day, get dressed, get gone & when I get to work make my morning coffee then (and tea for Trish, who gets in 5 mins after me). And when I'm on Lates, when I don't get in until a couple of hours later, it's basically the same, except I usually have my coffee waiting for me on my desk. Predictability - you can't beat it.
Plus my personalised mug arrived yesterday - a cartoon of a Hairy Biker, with the slogan, "Born To Motorbike", and underneath, "Forced To Work".
