This one brought back memories..

We moved to a new town when I was in eighth grade, my little brother and sister were at an elementary school near by. Kids in my sisters class took to bullying my little brother - he was new and small.

After my sister finally told me, I told her to have them meet her after school to settle this. I showed up and put a whoopin' on the biggest one of the group and asked who wanted to go next. I had a black eye and a bruised chin, but they never bothered my brother again.

Bullies need to understand that there is an immediate consequence to their actions. that is what makes them leave others alone. IMO 'investigating' does nothing but hone the lying skills of the bullies.

Yes, I agree, but adults showing up on campus and confronting children may not be the best idea for dealing with them.

I was bullied pretty bad, when I was a kid. Always the new kid, nearly every year, I never figured out what that was all about. So I became an easy mark for bullies. Finally, after we had been in Florida for a few years, I got tired of the crap, and stood up to a couple of bullies. That pretty much ended it. Still had some problems with a couple of guys, for a while, until I stood up to them, too.

Bottom line, kids need to be taught not to take it, and not to let bullies pick on other kids.

It's a problem that the kids have to solve. Adults can help, but ultimately, the kids have to fix it.

What was the purpose of the school visit by this group if it wasn't to bully ?

All they did was prove the biggest bully wins.

I was a Southerner in schools of Scousers, as well as having a bullying, abusive Father.

The best days of our lives? Yeah, right.

I don't think the adults should have gone to school. But I have no trouble with his big sister giving the girls some of their own back.
