That's not freedom of speech, it's incitement to violence.

Me too, although he would get away with it here, as it is non-specific as to which mosque. Here, it is Freedom of Speech.

Carry on down that line and no-one with any friends would be punished for any crime. Member of a gang - can't prosecute him for a gangland murder or he'll be a martyr?

You forget where he is. Scotland recently brought in new laws to combat sectarianism but it is not confined to catholic/protestant bigotry.

Sadly they haven't done anything about the main reason it continues namely separate cathlic, protestant and now muslim schools all in the name of respecting reigious freedom. Most scots would do away with separate schools but we still must pander to the unco guid even when they are bigots.

These people believe they are being pushed aside, to jail them for 12 months raises them to cultural heroes amongst their own kind, fighting for the rights of the downtrodden white christian indigenous Brits.

I am not siding or agreeing with them, I just think a sentence of six months community service in something related to their crime might be both more fittting and rewarding for everybody.

I don't think It will. Most Nationalists would frown upon writing something like that. They are the very people who give the BNP etc a bad press and no Nationalist Org would have a loose canon like that Inciting violence.

Irrespective of whether he is a member of any nationalist party or grouping there are people keeping their heads below the barrier with similar thoughts, he is their hero, they are the sort that think setting alight to a mosque on the way home from the pub on a Saturday night is a blow for freedom, jailing him for 12 months proves he is an underdog in his own country.................in their minds.

Six months community service putting them into contact with muslims would work a hell of a lot better..................I believe. Degrading the crime and degrading the criminal and rehabilitating him too.

A bit of phsychology on my part? I don't agree. I think he should have got 5 years as a deterrent to other like minded's. I think the fact that out of all attacks on Mosque's, only one was carried out by Nationalists, EDL supporters shows that Nationalists actually carrying out violent acts against Mosques etc are very far and few between. You tend to find that morons like him write crap like that because they believe It's what the Far Right want them to say and not what the Far Right actually condone.

It would be freedom of speech here. you have the right to say something like that, as long as you don't actually do it or tell someone else to go and do it and as Anne said don't name a specific place. It's amazing at the difference, there he's getting 12 months, here it isn't even a crime.

You're missing the point about where he is based. Scotland is place where muslims can be asked if they are catholic or protestant. I kid you not my wifes a teacher she's heard pupils ask that, I've been asked if I am a protestant or catholic atheist. He's just an idiot looking for someone to attack. Maybe oif you saw five year olds going along to football matches singing the sash while their proud parents looked on you might understand. It's got f--k all to do with christianity.
