Hooper was arrested and admitted to police she had called the staff ‘Bulgarian’ and accused them of ‘taking all our jobs’ in response to them calling her a rude name.

How can this be racist ?

What if they had been English but from different towns ?

A few Issue's here.

One, the Ignorance of most British people when Insulting Take-away staff. Most Take-aways are owned by Immigrants and In the main, It's their families working for them. They are not taking jobs per say, they own their shops and pay tax, employers tax and NI, rates and often a mortgage also. It's pretty dumb to accuse any take-away staff of taking our jobs,

Two, from the report, nothing she has said Is any worse than a Farage, Griffin, Choudry would say In a statement or speech. You can't have such hypocrisy and apply the law as the arresting officer or court decides. i.e Bloke In smart suit says It, fine... gobby young women, not fine.

As more and more Labour politicians crawl out from under their rocks and admit they got mass Immigration wrong, this Is the upshot. 20 years ago, no-one would have taken any notice of a gobby young woman but now they'll convict and ruin someone's life to cover up the fact that the mass Immigration has changed the demographics of our cities.

And finally, everyone Is legally entitled to an opinion... her defence should have pushed that.

Is it any worse than the kind of abuse football supporters hurl at each other? I think you need to take each case on it's merits.

You may be entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean I have to let you come into my house and share it with me.

My question hinges on the Racist part.

A section 4 Is to swear In public.

She was not charged with either of these.

Had she have said something along the lines of ' F**k off back to your own country', then she could have been charged with either of those. The fact that she wasn't highlights the trivial content of what she said.

Our country according to The Labour Party is a Multi-Cultural Eutopia full of ethnic communities. It's stands to reason that somewhere, someone Is going to fall out with someone from another culture. Does It make them racist ? According to this, It does. That's Bollocks.

Why penalise a young woman with a criminal record for basically being Ignorant? And why ? Because the take-away staff had their feelings hurt... Is that good cause to ruin a young womans life?

That apart from Hitler and the Judge in this case most people would say Bulgarians and English belonged to the race designated as White European.

So I can understand that a crime was committed, just don't understand how it is defined as a racial crime.

I thought the US was litigious. In the UK you can be jailed for calling a Bulgarian a Bulgarian?

I'm from Kansas. Here we have the Kansas State Wildcats and the Kansas University Jayhawks. Big rivals. But yes I live about as close to the middle of the country as possible. Look at a map of the US and try to put your finger dead center and you will poke me in the head.

I am sure we have discussed the second clip from a Channel 4 TV programme on here, sure I saw it first time round on TV.

There was another series that showed two friends with similar education, and their search for work and accomodation.

They sent them into places one after the other, one of them was often refused and then the second was successful.

They then followed up and asked the places why they refused the black guy and the white was OK.

This was in the UK.

Many of the reasons were almost understandable, such as, in a temp bar job, that the black guy wouldn't fit in and they were saving his feelings.

Other times accomodation had become availalable in the meantime, pure lies, because the program did every variation to double check.......if you get what I mean.

Racism is still very much alive, it is just more subtle these days.............which can make it worse.
