I looked after my two youngest grandchildren from yesterday morning until this afternoon. I hadn't done a long stint before and was more than a little apprehensive. But it went brilliantly and Daisy, aged 3, wanted to know when I was going to have another sleepover at her house. Love it!

It's a great feeling to look after the young ones and I'm sure they'll find it just as rewarding.
Most of my best memories from my youth are staying on my own with my grandparents - I'd be far poorer without those memories and I'm sure your grandchildren will be the same.

It is a great feeling, Bryn. Edward, who is 15 months old, kept calling Nanna out to me and putting his arms up to have a cuddle. There is nothing quite like it for feeling valued.

I spent at least two weeks a year staying with my grandparents on my own for many years and the feelings of love and freedom and being special have always stayed with me.

Me and my brothers also stayed with our grandparents every year. Usually to camp and boat. My wife and I are always having our grandkids over to our house. We have a blast with them.

Always hated sleepovers. I used to work the afternoon shift, 3pm-11pm. Got home around midnight. Never knew who was in my house or who wasn't. Had 5 kids and they all had friends.:-3
