Because it is a about twice the number that did so a couple of years ago, I guess.
Some folks want to use that to show how our President has failed, again.
I agree. Not really news, unless you are thinking about doing so. Then the article you reference might be worth reading.

If that is newsworthy and not just about right percentagewise, not everybody can be expected to stay in the country of their birth...........or America itself would not be there.
But if THAT is worth a headline, what about the percentage for the UK ?

What folk is that?
To me the number is insignificant an the article was not really all that informative.

I agree. Though I was recently on another forum where a number of Obama-haters seem to do nothing but find such little niblets to try and use against the current administration.
You can find several sites on the web ready to try and make hay of it.

Glad to hear it.
The only issue is that there are people out there who want to make an issue of it.

:-3There was an article on that over here too. It was all down to complicated tax code now for ex-pats. I dont make enough money to worry about it nor do I have the kind of assets that the tax code demands i pay tax on. It was designed to make life hard on off shore tax dodgers. But alot of middle class has got caught in it. I am still American.

Hmmm, that was never an option for me. The wife would never allow it.

I also have an overwhelming sense that this is the place I am meant to be. Hubby would love to move to Wyoming (yellowstone vicinity) but it would take soooooo much time, money and effort, lots of preparation that it is almost a moot point. I have deep roots. I have truly settled.
